Stop Over-Committing + Say Yes To The Right Things

WHERE DO YOU FEEL IT, AMBER?

What a weird way to start the conversation, but this is what a "potential" client asked me the other day.
We were discussing a possible collaboration where I would be writing content for her and her magical community.  After several minutes of breaking down the logistics, she asked, "Now, where do you feel this, Amber?"

It was such an odd question for a potential client to ask me, but in that moment I knew exactly what she meant.

My gut was BURSTING with joy and there was energy just humming all over my skin from excitement with the possibility of what could emerge from this collaboration + the people we could serve together... the impact we could create.

In the past, I admit, I would say, "YES" to what others needed BEFORE waiting for the feeling... before doing a GUT CHECK.

And it left me drained. Burnt out. Putting my time and energy into projects which do not serve me (or my talents - we all got them, love, even you!).

By taking a moment, to ask myself this question:
Where do I feel this?

Before immediately, saying "I'll do it!", I've saved myself from not only committing to projects/experiences which would not serve me...

But also allowed space for God to present me with opportunities that set my soul on fire 🔥

Before overcommitting yourself to a project, an outing, an experience, etc... take a beat to ask yourself, "Where do you feel this?"

And if it's not buzzing your skin with electricity... if it's not a "HELL YES", then it's a "F-no"! Period.

Give yourself the space to allow for only the HELL YESes in your life to appear.

Grit + Gumption.
