One day your workout will be your warm up… through consistency and discipline.
Last week, our little man had a jujitsu session. Each session starts with body movements as well as weight training. We have been going for a little over 6 months now.
That morning as I watched a few of his movements - pulling a sled, squats, push ups and bench press… it dawned on me that these movements were his workout in June… in July… maybe even in May.
But over time, through discipline and his consistent work ethic - his previous workout has turned into his WARM UP.
And it took all I had not to shed big mama tears of joy in his jujitsu class ESPECIALLY since when he was born a few professionals put limits on him.
I remember going to one doctor’s appointment alone to see a specialist… after she evaluated our son, she rambled off a list of things he wouldn’t be able to do.
Mid-sentence, I stopped her… stood up and said, “That’s what you say, but you don’t know our God.” And walked right out of the doctor’s appointment with our double stroller.
I called the hubster on the way to the parking lot fuming saying, how dare someone put limits on our son.
And I can only IMAGINE with how much God loves His children, the frustration felt when we put limits on ourselves. If I was simply FUMING over limits a stranger placed on my son.
The message I want to document (and share with you) today is a twofer:
1. One day, through consistent action and discipline, your workout will be your warm-up.
2. How dare you put limits on yourself - you don’t know what He has called you to do. God is capable of miracles - I’m reminded of two each and every day. Stop putting limits on yourself, love, and take the action.
During today's training run, I sent prayers in thanksgiving for the miracles we have in our home and the endless possibilities for our twins.
Keep taking action + remove those limits. You got this... remember, one day, today's workout will be your warm-up if you keep at it ♥️
